Golf Carts
Golf Carts
If you're a regular golfer then you've definitely heard of and more than likely used a golf cart. Golf carts are small vehicles designed with little engines that are used to get golfers and their golf clubs around the course without having to walk. Back when golf first start there were no such things as golf carts and even to this day in professional golf you aren't allowed to use a golf cart. This is because they feel it could cause unfair advantages for some players and also the fact that golf is about conditioning and walking around a golf course in the hot sun for hours on end. When you're golfing on public courses nowadays almost every single golf course will have golf carts that you can rent and this has been like this for years now. Golf carts have become necessary for most golfers and some couldn't even imagine playing golf without a golf cart. There golfers aren't truly avid golfers though because any golfer who loves the game would play without a golf cart, umbrella and in the middle of a rain storm. Golf carts provide a luxury though and when you can use a golf cart I recommend it but when one isn't provided don't complain and just play golf.
Typically you rent a golf cart in the price of your round of golf but at smaller courses you pay an extra fee to be able to use one of the golf carts that they supply at the course. The fee is usually small and definitely worth the price because I don't know anyone who enjoys walking from shot to shot when they could be driving. Golf carts aren't designed to be fast in anyway shape or form and driving them in this manner will result in destroying the vehicle and also the grass you drive on.
When driving a golf cart on golf courses you need to take proper etiquette and make sure that you don't ever slam the gas or brakes on because this will cause scuffing in the grass below which isn't good for a golf course. Golf course staff spends hours taking care and manicuring golf courses for your enjoyment but when people use golf carts in the wrong manner it causes all the staffs hard work to go down the drain.
Golf carts are solely made for transporting golfers from one hole to another and from shot to shot. They also can be great for staying out of the rain as much as possible because all golf carts have roofs on them which are made to deflect rain as much as possible. Typically you try keeping off the fairways and other maintained areas of the golf course so that you don't cause any damage. Other then that all you do is drive slowly and smoothly and you won't run into any problems. Remember never abuse a golf cart because it can get you in trouble and definitely land you kicked off of the golf course.
If you golf regularly then possibly buying a golf cart would work more sufficiently for your needs. Most golf courses will allow you to keep a golf cart on premise if you're either a member or regular customer. This will save you from needing to pay for a golf cart each round of golf. Golf carts can be used for jobs around the house too so having a golf cart isn't a bad idea. You can find golf carts online for affordable prices and most are of great quality. Golf carts can run anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand depending on the speed, design, age, etc.
