If you're a Golf Instructor you could be working on a Cruise Ship

With summer right around the corner for us North Americans, I figured now would be a great time to talk about cruise ships and the jobs available on cruise ships for golf instructors. Basically every cruise ship that runs the oceans throughout the summer months has some sort of golfing activity on the ship and guess what? They need golf instructors in order to properly run the golfing on the ship so they spend thousands of dollars hiring golf instructors every year.

If your passion is teaching people how to play golf and you're looking to enjoy a career teaching people how to play golf then what better way to do that then on a luxury cruise liner going around the world. Not only do you get do tech your passion while in the hot sun and open waters but you get paid for it as well and quite generously. You don't need to be a PGA Tour Professional by any means either, you just need to have a solid grasp of golfing skills and techniques so you can properly teach individuals the basics.

Golfing has become a lot more popular the past decade with the likes of Tiger Woods rejuvenating the sport completely. Now you see more people playing golf and looking to learn golf more then ever before and it's continually rising every year. Cruise ships are increasing the number of cruise liners they run each year which means more golf instructor jobs open up on the ships.

If you don't mind being on open waters for long periods of time and not being able to see your family then working as a golf instructor on a cruise ship is a golden opportunity. You'll need to prove that you're capable of teaching golf to thousands of people each week and also have a great resume exemplifying your skill in golf. Cruise ship companies are very competitive and they fight for customer loyalty all year long, which means that they only hire the best so you need to be a top golf instructor in order to stand a chance of being hired.

While traveling you port usually every few days so there is time to have off of the ship although most of your time is spent on the ship either teaching golf or living in your room. If you're someone who is prone to motion sickness then working as a golf instructor, or for that matter working any position on a cruise ship wouldn't be recommended at all.

If you think you'd like to give working on a cruise ship a try and golfing is your expertise, then make sure you do your homework when sending out job resumes. If you are comfortable and capable of teaching golf then you'll have many cruise ships lining up to hire you for a position. Find the one that best suits your goals and then move on from there.

Working on a cruise ship as a golf instructor is definitely not for everyone and the minuscule amount of people who work as cruise ship golf instructors is tiny compared to most other jobs but if you can teach golf then there is a high possibility that you will land a job teaching golf on a cruise ship.
